About Bangerpack

Bangerpack is a Swedish shop for sealed trading cards. We are building a broad range of sealed product: whatever you can add to the cart is on the shelf in Helsingborg, and the rest you can watch and get an email when it lands.

The name

A banger is the card you were hoping for when you opened the pack. The chase, the hit, the one that makes the whole box worth it. A pack is the packet you open to find out whether it's in there.

So the name is no promise that every pack contains a banger. No pack does, anywhere, and anyone who suggests otherwise is selling something other than cards. The odds are printed on the box and they apply to us just as much as to you — we open our own packs and get junk in them just like everyone else.

The name is about the seconds before you know. That feeling is the whole hobby, and it's the same whether you spend a few euros on a booster or a few hundred on a display. Our part of it is simple: make sure the pack is genuine, sealed, reasonably priced and arrives quickly. What's inside it is up to the card gods.

What you can count on

  • Sealed means sealed. Factory-sealed originals in the format stated on the product page. We open nothing that is meant to be sold, however much we'd like to.
  • If you can add it to the cart, it's on the shelf. Sold-out items are marked "Out of stock" and can be watched. Upcoming releases are listed as "Coming soon", with a release date once the manufacturer has confirmed it, and can only be ordered once the boxes are actually here.
  • No surprises on the product page. Format, number of packs, edition, year and language in plain words. The surprise belongs in the pack, not in the description.
  • Boringly predictable. Prices including VAT, 30-day returns and terms of purchase in plain English.

Our warehouse

No fulfilment warehouses, no dropshipping, no third party in another time zone promising three to five weeks. Your order is picked from these shelves.

The business plan

The shop started as a three-step business plan in our founder's head:

  1. Buy cheap F1 cards for myself
  2. ???
  3. Profit

Step 2 turned out to contain a warehouse, a company, a couple of distributor negotiations and considerably more pallets than planned. We'll get back to step 3.

The cards never did get cheap, by the way. They got very numerous.

The range is broader today — Pokémon, One Piece, Magic, Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh!, football and American sports, plus sleeves, toploaders and storage. The F1 shelf stays, on principle.

Shop shelf with sports cards: Topps Chrome Formula 1 at the front, next to NBA Hoops, Topps baseball, UFC and NHL.

We've done this before

Bangerpack is run by White Tree AB, and this is not our first warehouse. Behind the shop are twenty years of e-commerce: a t-shirt printing company founded in 2002, the pop culture shop Roliga Prylar, founded in 2008, and a founder who helped start Fyndiq.se and Ehandel.se. In other words, the beginner's mistakes have already been made, and they were made on something entirely different from your cards.

We're collectors ourselves

The office is half warehouse and half museum without a curator. None of it is for sale, and some of it has never been in demand by anyone. But it explains why the product pages fuss over print years and language editions: we're customers like that ourselves.
