Yu-Gi-Oh! as a card game
The cards are in the Yu-Gi-Oh! category, and the Yu-Gi-Oh! guide shows which products the game is sold in and how a duel works. Outside Japan, Yu-Gi-Oh! was first published by Upper Deck, but since 2008 Konami has handled publishing itself.
The jukeboxes and the name
Konami was founded in 1969 in Osaka and started as a company that rented out and repaired jukeboxes. The name Konami is formed from the founders' surnames: Kagemasa Kōzuki, Yoshinobu Nakama and Tatsuo Miyasako.
