Pitch Black is the fifth expansion in the Mega Evolution era and builds on the Mega Dimension add-on to Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The set is led by Mega Darkrai ex and Mega Zeraora ex, and contains six new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex plus four Double Rare Pokémon ex on a checklist of 120 cards, secret rares included.

The Booster Bundle collects six packs in a sealed box: the smallest unit that gives several pulls at once, at a better price per pack than loose packs. Against a checklist of 120 cards, six packs are enough to get a feel for the rarity tiers without committing to the cost of a display. Mega Evolution Pokémon ex have higher HP and harder-hitting attacks than regular Pokémon ex, but the opponent takes three Prize cards instead of two when they are knocked out: the whole era is built around that trade-off.

It is made for those who want to try the set properly without buying a whole box. The bundle contains only packs: the accessories are in the Elite Trainer Box from the same set. Pitch Black is the era's latest expansion, so the set is still in active distribution. The contents of each pack are random and cannot be chosen.
