The Chrome line existed in basketball from the 1996-97 season until Topps lost the NBA licence in 2009, so for many collectors this is a return rather than something new. The edition covers the 2024-25 season, the season in which the 2024 draft class played their first NBA games.

Topps Chrome is Topps' chrome line, known for its glossy chrome stock and for the coloured refractor parallels that set the cards apart. This edition is the basketball version for the 2024-25 season and follows the same basic structure Chrome has in Topps' other series.

A sealed hobby box: the channel where the manufacturer's autograph and parallel cards are inserted, unlike the retail formats. The hobby format has the best hits in the programme.
