Proving Grounds 2nd Edition is Riftbound's starter box for two to four players, with four ready-made decks built around Heimerdinger, Karma, Vladimir and Illaoi from the Legacy set. The box contains four Champion Decks, four oversized battlefields, four paper playmats, four acrylic score counters with chibi-style champions and a rulebook. Riot has stated that this edition contains no cards that cannot also be pulled from booster packs. It is released on 19 February 2027, three weeks after Legacy, and the packaging is marked ages 14 and up.
