Vintage & classic sets.

The first sets

Pokémon cards were released in English in 1999, published by Wizards of the Coast. Base Set came first, and Jungle and Fossil followed the same year. Up to 2003 Wizards of the Coast published sets such as Team Rocket, Gym Heroes, Gym Challenge and the Neo sets, and all the sets from that time are listed in the set guide.

Old sealed boxes

A sealed box from the early years is judged on different grounds from a new one. The guide to old sealed boxes explains how the seal is checked and what affects the price.
